Cam has significant experience in Canadian agriculture. Immediately prior to joining Cereals Canada Cam held the post of General Manager of Manitoba Beef Producers. Cam has also served as Commissioner of the Canadian Grain Commission (Appointed by the Governor in Council) from 2007-10. He has also held the positions of Manager of Government Relations and Policy Development, Agricore United, Executive Director of the Grain Growers of Canada and served on Parliament Hill in Ottawa.
Cam has served as the Chairperson of the Technical Advisory Panel requested by the Minister of International Cooperation to recommend projects for funding under the Canada Fund for African Climate Resilience. He also serves on the Advisory Committee for the Scaling Seeds and Technologies Partnership in Africa and is the past-President of the Canadian Agriculture Hall of Fame.
Cam holds a BSA and M. Sc. in agriculture economics from the University of Manitoba.

Gord Kurbis recently joined the Canada Grains Council as Vice President of Trade Policy and Crop Protection. Gord brings over 20 years of experience in the Canadian grain industry. Formerly serving as Director of Market Access and Trade Policy at Pulse Canada, Gord worked on behalf of growers and exporters of pulses and special crops to bring resolution to a wide range of market access issues, ranging from tariffs to phytosanitary issues to maximum residue levels (MRLs). He has participated in senior roles at government/industry trade forums associated with Codex, NAFTA, WTO, FAO, and the International Plant Protection Convention, as well as MRL-focused roles at the International Grain Trade Coalition, the Global Pulse Federation, and the International Agri-Food Network. Gord holds an MSc in agricultural economics and resides in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
