Biography

JP Pettyjohn was raised and lived in the Peace River region of Alberta. After attending the University of Alberta, he worked for Roy-Boy Farms Ltd., a mixed 4300 ac farm near Falher. There he was also involved with SARDA, a non-profit crop research organization in Falher, from 1999 to 2014, as summer student, vice-chair of the board and eventually manager.

JP’s goals have always been to learn more about sustainable agriculture, and pass this knowledge to the farming community. This passion led him to accept an instructional position at Lakeland College in the crop technology program last January.
