Mike Kotelko is currently the Vice-President of Highland Feeders Ltd. and has been the operational mastermind during Highland’s phenomenal growth from a small mixed farming operation to an annual $60 Million revenue agribusiness. Mike is also the General Manager of Highmark Renewables and has been instrumental in the development of Growing Power Hairy Hill, where they are deriving power from cattle manure and are currently constructing an integrated ethanol plant to create Canada’s first bioRefinery™.

Highland Feeders Ltd. has been recognized both provincially and nationally for their environmental efforts, including the Alberta Cattle Feeders Association Environmental Stewardship Award, the Alberta Association for Environmental Excellence Emerald Award and the Canadian Cattlemen’s Association Environmental Stewardship Award.
