Bio
Matt Enright is the Grains Manager of Battle River Railway NGC Inc., Alberta's first grain dependent shortline railway. He also operates a 2100 acre grain farm near Rosalind AB, growing wheat, canola and peas.
Matt received a B.A. (Honours) from the University of Alberta and a M.A. in economics from Simon Fraser University, before turning his attention to farming and railroading.
Session Summary
Matt will discuss the realities of purchasing and operating a grain dependent shortline railway in Alberta. Past issues, future plans, and the present state of the railroad will be discussed.
