Bio
Larry Bokenfohr is a producer who grew up on the family farm at Namao, Alberta. The Sturgeon County resident grows cereal grains, canola and hay.
Larry is an original member of a farm management club started in 2002 by Sturgeon Valley Fertilizers. Its members are known as the A.I.M. group. A.I.M. is an acronym which stands for Agriculture Information Management. The A.I.M. group meets once a month from November to April. A different speaker is invited each month to talk to the group.
Larry is an active member of the Namao community league and has helped organize many ball tournaments, dances, and social events.
Session Summary
Larry will speak about what the A.I.M. group has accomplished and what it takes to keep a producer group active and progressive. He will share with the audience his experiences over the years within the group. Producer groups don’t always have to be about information. The ability to network with your neighbors and colleagues is often overlooked within the agriculture community.
