Bio

Since 1999, Jennifer’s worked at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada’s Beaverlodge Research Farm as a Biologist. She manages the Integrated Pest Management program and, since 2010, Jennifer’s also filled the role of Coordinator for the Prairie Pest Monitoring Network. Current areas of research include (a) pest management of canola insect pests and (b) arthropod pest management in forage seed crops.

Session Summary

Insect pests occurring in agricultural production in Alberta will be summarized for 2011 and projected for 2012. Expect a healthy dose of palatable biology for Alberta’s main insect pests occurring in annual crops and forage seed production. Leave with an improved appreciation for pest management and an informed perspective of what might be “bugging” production in 2012.
