Bio
Jay is the General Manager, Commodity Trading, at Western Feedlots Ltd.
He is responsible for overseeing grain and commodity procurement, risk management and quality control for Westerns Feedlots operations.
Prior to returning to Canada in 2004, He held management positions in Australia, with GrainCorp Ltd, and an Australian subsidiary of Conagra, Australia Meat Holdings.
Session Summary
Feed grains will be facing Interesting times in 2012, not only the potential for change in domestic Markets, but how they will be affected by exposure to some significant global supply and demand dynamics. We will look at some of the macro changes, and how they could effect your operation. We will also look at how to maximise your returns when marketing feed grains, and why counter party risk is no longer someone else’s problem.
