Bio

Despite growing up on a dairy farm near Millet, Alberta, Emile’s passion in agriculture is crop production. A graduate of the University of Alberta, Emile has held various agronomy related roles with Alberta Agriculture, Westco Fertilizers and currently Viterra. While crop production has provided Emile with a venue for lifetime learning, it is the people, he says, that provides the lifetime rewards.

Session Summary

In practical terms, knowledge, attitude and skill play a large role in proper diagnosis of crop related problems. Yet, it is “grey hair or no hair” that reflects experience which sometimes avoids quick (and incorrect) conclusions. A consistent process for crop diagnosis can serve up success with confidence. During this session, as the detective solving the case, you will experience some “real-life” crop diagnostic scenarios and gain confidence in problem solving as you go.
