About this session:
The 2016 crop year saw many challenges and changes, ranging from unprecedented levels of fusarium in cereal crops to the creation of a new wheat class.
Daryl Beswitherick from the Canadian Grain Commission will discuss the quality of the 2016 harvest and the challenges everyone from producers to grain buyers faced with respect to fusarium. He will also discuss some changes that have been made to wheat classes, including the creation of the Canada Northern Hard Red wheat class, and changes to the mildew standards in wheat.
Finally, he’ll share information about programs you can use to get information about the quality of your crop before you deliver to the elevator.
